I knew Liz as Nana Lyssa. We met through the Facebook Buy Nothing group, and we became friends. She is probably the most generous person I've ever met, always wanting to help others even when she didn't have enough for herself. She was strong and kind and genuine, and she was always looking for the blessing even in bad situations. Nana was one of a kind. I am grateful that I knew her, and while I knew she was fighting battles with her health I didn't think she would leave this life so soon. My heart goes out to her family and friends. I'm sad that she passed, but happy too that she is no longer suffering.

I knew Elizabeth as Nana to all her friends. We met through facebook and immediately hit it off as if we knew each other forever. Had conversation lunch dinner and she always invited me over. I had the pleasure of meeting AKA Nana, a few years ago through the Buy Nothing group. We became friends and loved her positive attitude and warm smile. She worked with me gathering clothes for the Living Tree downtown for the homeless. She would pack up as many things as she could, no matter if she needed something. The homeless came first. Such a loving person. You will be missed and sad to have been taken so young.
