Was glad I got to visit the day before his passing, he told me with tears in his eyes that he was so appreciated Steve for bringing Charrolet up to visit and that his family was all there. He pointed out that they were "happy tears". I remember going to his house for father's day as a kid, always had new things to try; frogs legs, turtle, smoked eel, raccoon, venison, fish...hell, I think anything that you could fish, hunt, trap was on the table. He was quick with a joke or prank and spoke his mind. He told me he was tired of laying in the bed, I asked him if he was ready to go "f%!$ yes" he replied. I put A picture up on the wall of a buck in a snowy scene before I left, He told me how much he liked my visit and called me his buddy. I'm sad and happy at the same time that he has gone. Will miss you Uncle Butch.
