Deiter H. Wingen of Westtown, N.Y., the retired owner of KW Controls in Slate Hill, New York and a longtime resident of the area, died on April 25, 2018 at his home. He was 78.
The son of the late Wilhelm and Hilda Lutz Wingen, he was born on May 21, 1939 in Germany.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife Inge Wingen at home. His son Michael Wingen and his wife Tara and daughter Nicole Wingen-Bracco and her husband Robert. His grandchildren Amanda; Tommy; Avery and Hannah. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday May 2, 2018 at 11 A.M. at the Holy Cross R.C. Church in South Centerville, New York.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
