My first day at Port Jervis High School I remember being scared out of my mind. I walked around halls only knowing people from my childhood sports teams. There was one guy on my first day that stood apart. Andrew Olver was that guy. We sat next to each other through two years straight in Math with Big Deb. My junior and his senior year we played football together. Since we were backups we spent a ton of time talking on the sidelines. I'll never forget the Minisink Valley game when Cort Morgan, Andrew and myself were talking and barely paying attention and Corvino almost tripped because the play ran to the sideline. We reminisced about that even years after it happened, it seemed funnier every time we talked. He was my first real friend that I made at PJHS. He was consistent, kindhearted, always cared about me. The type of guy you wanted around. He would always take his time to hear how I was and would always hope to see me again soon. We always greeted each other with a huge smiles and left each other with a bigger than life bear hug. I wish I could be home to say good-bye. I love ya Olv. I will never forget you.
