Jennie and Ray reminded me of my mom's family. I grew up listening to my aunts and uncles singing all the "old songs". So when Jennie and Ray would sing and dance it brought back warm memories. We will always remember the night when Ray surprised Jennie with a birthday party in the rec room. She was 80 years young that year. There was more singing, dancing and lots of laughter. Jennie & Ray took us under their wing when we arrived at the Ponce for our first full winter. Whenever our children visted us Jennie always showed up at our door with a big smile and a hug for our family. When my mom passed away Jennie unselfishly stepped in to help fill that void in my life. Whenever I was going though a bad time Jennie was always there with her words of wisdom " There's always hope". Jennie you were always the life of the party & I know you are entertaining the angels with your song " I love You Baby". Dear Ray, we are so sorry to hear about Jennie. We have so many fond memories of the both you when we were all at the Ponce. Jenny was the life of every party, and how she hated to see everyone sitting around and not dancing or singing. You were both so special to us and we miss you so much. Ray, we talk about the both of you so very often. Many things have changed here at the Ponce and there is a great void without you. Know that we are thinking of you and remembering what a great husband you were to Jenny. So many things I want to say but mainly that we feel that we have been very privileged to have known you both. We met Ray and Jennie when visiting my parents (Craig and Betty Hennigar) at the condo in Florida. Every year when we arrived Jennie would always come up to moms and give us each a big hug and say hello. I will miss her hats and her sunny smile. She was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed.
