Obituary of Francis Deserto

Francis "Frank" Deserto of the Town of Wallkill, N.Y., a retired Laborer with Local 17 and a longtime resident of the area, died on November 14, 2014 in Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 94. The son of the late Antonio and Anna Dina Deserto, he was born on November 11, 1920 in New York, New York. He was a member of the Local 17 Retired Club. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Nancy V. Deserto at home. His children Anna Helt and her husband James and Anthony Deserto of all of Middletown. His seven grandsons: James Helt and his wife Jennifer; Andrew and Daniel Helt all of Middletown. Francis Deserto and his wife Natalie of N.Y. City; Michael Deserto of Campbell Hall; Robert Deserto of Walden and Christopher Deserto of Campbell Hall. His brother Joseph Deserto and his wife Jean of Middletown and his sisters Ann Henderson of Middletown and Angela Hovencamp and her husband Russell of Maine. His sisters-in law: Gwen Deserto of Fair Oaks; Bernie Deserto of Pine Bush and Janet Deserto of Goshen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers: Andrew; Anthony; Vito; Paul and Peter Deserto and his sisters Mary Lancieri and Nancy Cosco. Visitation hours will be held on Sunday November 16, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, New York. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday Nov. 17, 2014 at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Bloomingburg. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Middletown, N.Y.
