Obituary of Paul R. Hyde

Paul R. Hyde Jr. of Middletown, a retired Motor Mechanic for the N.Y. State Department of Corrections for 28 years in Sing Sing and Otisville Prison where he retired from in 2005, died on October 11, 2014 at his home with his beloved family by his side. He was 71.
The son of the late Paul R. and Hilda Sanford Hyde Sr., he was born on May 8, 1943 in Paterson, N.J.
He was a member of the Junior Order of American Mechanics. He was also very involved with many racing organizations .
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather , uncle and friend to all that knew him. He had a passion for dirt car racing and Nascar, and spending time with his family. The family wishes to thank the Goshen Medical Group as well as Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years Trudy Hogencamp Rumsey Hyde at home. His children James Rumsey and his wife Nicole of Mansfield, Texas; Adrian (AJ) Rumsey and his wife Kelley of Middletown, N.Y. His grandchildren Branden; Christian; Ryan; Tyler and Ariana Rumsey. His sons Paul Hyde III and his wife Milissa of Pine Island, N.Y. and Edward Hyde and his partner Angel of Myrtle Beach, S.C. His daughter: Linda Lori Johnson and her husband Keith of Pine Bush, N.Y. His grandchildren: Ashley; Kaetlin; and Zachary Hyde. His brothers David Hyde and his wife Diane of Michigan and Jeffrey Hyde and his wife Lynn of Buffalo. His sisters Sharon Schoonmaker of Las Vegas, NV. And Paula Hyde and her husband Stephen Alvarez of Las Vegas, NV.. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. His beloved dogs Shiloh and Dumpster
Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday October 15, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. and Thursday October 16, 2014 from 9-11 A.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, New York.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 16, 2014 at 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery Town of Wawayanda, N.Y.
