Obituary of Margarette M McKeon

Margarette M. Mckeon of Middletown, N.Y., passed away on October 9, 2014 in Erie, PA after a short illness. She was 93.
Margarette was born in Witherby, N.Y. on June 27, 1921 to Hungarian parents John Remenecz and Aranka Schaller Remenecz. She was predeceased by her sister Lillian Quinn. Margarette was married to Joseph B. McKeon Sr. who predeceased her in 1986.
Margarette graduated from Port Jervis High School in 1940 and Middletown Homeopathic Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
Margarette was employed by the Horton Hospital for 25 years and then as a Nursing Adminstrator for the Middletown State Hospital for 25 years. She also worked at Earls Nursing Home and was a private duty nurse.
Margarette was a member of The Catholic Daughters of America; Professional Womens Club, the Happy Seniors and the Mulberry House Seniors. She was also a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church since 1940.
Margarette is survived by her sons Joseph Jr. and his wife Theresa of the Villages, Fl.; Dennis Sr. and his wife Maryann of Waxhaw, N.C.; and Stephen and his wife Camille of Wilmington, N.C. Her grandchildren Kimberly Bogart and her husband Anthony; Sean McKeon; Dennis McKeon Jr.; Danielle McKeon and Courtney McKeon. Her great-grandchildren Devon Bogart; Wyatt Bogart and Connor McKeon. Other surviving relatives are Irene Pieffer of Glenside, PA., Kathy Dawson of N.Y., Colleen Hannah of KY., several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation hours will be held on Sunday October 12,2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, New York.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday October 13, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown. Burial will be at the Sea Lawn Memorial Park, Hampstead, N.C.
