Obituary of Ronald Mortensen

Ronald Mortensen of Middleton, a retired Nurse from the Middletown State Hospital and a longtime resident of the area, died on July 15, 2018 at the Highland Rehab in Middletown. He was 80. The son of Sigvardt and Maria Mortensen he was born on June 11, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York. Ronald was divorced from his first wife Deanna Mortensen and was the widower of Linda VanHouten Mortensen. He was the father of eight children. Five from his first marriage, his three boys, he was predeceased by his son Ronald Mortensen Jr. and survived by Michael Mortensen and William Mortensen. His daughters from his first marriage Marylou Mortensen and Marie Mortensen. His three children from his deceased wife Linda are Allen Mortensen and Donna Emerson and Danielle Mortensen. He was also a grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was loved and will be missed by his many friends.
