Mark Meeney, 59, Greenwood Lake NY passed away very unexpectedly on Tuesday September 2, 2014.
He was a retired Teamster of Local 807 in Long Island City, NY for many years and before that he was a Croupier Dealer in Las Vegas, NV.
He is survived by his beloved sons, Mark and Michael of Phila, PA. Who he adored.
His 3 sisters, Carol Pagano of Franklin Lakes NJ, Annie Rabbitt of Greenwood Lake, NY and Patricia Meeney-Jeleniewicz of Warwick, NY. His two Brother in-laws, Rick Pagano and Bobby Rabbitt(who was also his very Best friend) and his 9 nieces and nephews Justin, Jessica, Nikki, Richard, Erin, Robert, Katie, Joseph and Danny as well as his 2 great nephews Matthew and Hudson and 2 great-nieces Emma and Abigail.
He was pre-deceased by both Parents Helen and James Meeney and he was the "Apple of his Mother's eye.
His family and friends meant the world to him. He loved Greenwood Lake and all that it represented to him.
Mark loved life and enjoyed spending time with his sons and his family and friends. He was a great joke and storyteller and anyone that knew Mark loved him. He always greeted his friends and family with a big hug and a genuine smile that will be missed by so many.
He was "Our Fearless Protector." We will miss you forever.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Friday September 5, 2014 at Strong-Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak Street Greenwood Lake, NY.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday September 6, 2014 at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake.
Burial will be in Orange County Veteran's Cemetery. 111 Craigville Road Goshen, NY 10924.
