Obituary of Joan A. Stiller

Joan A. Stiller of Middletown a retired office manager and a longtime resident of the area, died on March 20, 2018 at her home.  She was 81.

The daughter of the late Erford and Alice Cox Steenrod, she was born on July 18, 1936 in Carmel, New York.

Joan graduated from Middletown High School and was a member of the Class of 1954.

She was the widow of Ronald V. Stiller.

She is survived by her sister Audrey Pastor of Middletown and her brother Wayne H. Steenrod of Monroe, N.Y. Her nieces Sharon Feagin of Monroe and Amy Harrington of Newburgh.  Her nephews Jacob Kriney and his wife Marge of Hilton Head, S.C. and William Gunther of Middletown.  She is also survived by 10 great nephews and 12 great-great nieces and nephews.

As per Joan’s wishes private services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
