George W. Lindemann of Middletown, N.Y. and Jacksonville, FL., a retired VP of Commercial Lending with the Bank of New York, died on January 21, 2018 in UF North Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. He was 80. The son of the late George A. and Mabel Watson Lindemann, he was born on February 23, 1937 in Englewood, N.J. George was a longtime member of the Middletown Kiwanis Club; longtime member of the Excelsior Hook and Ladder in Middletown, N.Y. , the Middletown Jaycees and a member of the Board of Directors of South East Towers. He was a member of the Board of Directors and former President of the Community Bank of Orange. George was the widower of Carol Johnston Lindemann. Survivors include his children Catherine Bruinix of Middletown, N.Y.; Gregory Lindemann (Terri Sue) of Jacksonville, FL. and James Lindemann (Karen Armstrong-DePolito) of Middletown, N.Y. His grandchildren Elizabeth Bruinix; Bryan Holmes; Julie Chapman; Quinn LaMorte; Mary Anne Lindemann; Kevin Lindemann and Alexandra Lindemann. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, a niece and several cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Nancy Williams. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday February 10, 2018 from 2-4 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y.
