Obituary of Frederick E. Caston
Frederick E. "Jimmy" Caston Jr., a retired plumber with Local 373 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, died on September 14, 2017 at his home. He was 90.
The son of the late Frederick E. and Olga Steck Caston, he was born on February 25, 1927 in Hackensack, N.J.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II having served aboard the U.S. Briareus.
He was a former member for many years of the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Middletown, where he taught Sunday School and served as a lay speaker. He was currently a member of the Bread of Life Assembly of God in Bullville, N.Y.
After retiring from the union, he worked at Stop and Shop in Middletown from their opening until their closing. He met many wonderful friends during his time there.
On August 9, 1953 he married Josephine Raimondi who was the love of his life. The two "J"'s in his life Jesus and Josephine.
Survivors include his wife Josephine Caston at home. His children Brenda DeLucia and her husband Michael of Middletown; Dr. Frederick E. Caston III and his wife Janice of Stony Brook, N.Y. and the Rev. Mark S. Caston and his wife Sandy of Shoemakersville, PA. His grandchildren Joseph DeLucia and his wife Giselle; Dr. Jonathan DeLucia; Frederick E. Caston IV and his wife Rosie; Robert Caston and his wife Rachel; Caitlin Caston; Lt. Michael Caston; Timothy Caston; Erica Cogle and her husband Travis and Bethany Sarna and her husband Dan. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be held on Thursday September 21, 2017 from 1-3P.M. and 6-7 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 7:30 P.M. at the Bread of Life Church 2876 Route 17K Bullville, New York.
Burial will be in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, N.Y.
