Obituary of Francesca Ziter

Francesca Cosco Ziter, beloved mother, cousin and friend entered into rest on Saturday August 12, 2017. She was 82. The daughter of the late Salvatore and Catherine Cosco, she was born on March 14, 1935 in Middletown, N.Y. After her three children became old enough, in 1967 she went back to college and earned her masters degree in English. She worked as an English teacher for many years at the Middletown High School and Fallsburg High School. She was a devoted teacher and loved her students. After her marriage to Don Ziter, they enjoyed traveling the world. She enjoyed camping and the casinos and settled in Grahamsville, N.Y. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Local 681 and the Retired Teachers Assn. She is survived by her three children Richard and his wife Gina and their children Kayleigh and Ashleigh. Gary and his wife Gail and their children Dylan and Blake and her daughter Theresa and husband Jeff and their children Michael, Julia and Sammy. She is also survived by her stepdaughter Dana and her husband Michael and their three children. She is also survived by her many cousins whom she loved. Her brother Salvatore of the State of Florida. The family would like to thank the staff at ORMC for the care they gave their mother until her passing. Francesca was predeceased by her mother and father and her sister Cappy. Also her former husband Sal and her beloved husband Don. Visitation hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. on Tuesday August 15, 2017 at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday August 16, 2017 at 11 A.M. at St. Joseph Church Middletown, N.Y. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church 149 Cottage St. Middletown, N.Y. 10940.
