Obituary of Barbara F. Butera

Barbara F. (Prince) Butera, formerly of Greenwood Lake, passed away surrounded by her family on May 26, 2017.

Born July 11,1936 in Manhattan, NY Barbara was the daughter of the Late Thomas Prince and Margaret (Hickey) Prince. She was predeceased by her Husband Larry A.Butera on April 18, 2017.

A wife, stay at home mom, and homemaker she spent her life loving her family and raising her four children. Barbara was enjoying her retirement on Cape Cod the last 19 years of her life with her husband Larry.

Barbara is survived by her children Michael Butera of Franklin, NJ, Nancy McCaffrey and the memory of her husband Chic of West Milford, NJ, Susan Wardrop and her husband Craig of Rockaway, NJ, and Larry Butera and his wife Krista of West Milford, NJ. She was the beloved Grandmother of Chelsea Jordan and Matt Butera, Ryan and Erin McCaffrey, Alyssa and Megan Wardrop, and Kyle and Casey Butera. She is also survived by her brother Thomas Prince and several nieces and nephews.

Her children are certain a reunion occurred in Heaven last week withLarry holding Barbara's hand as she entered the gates of Heaven. Visitation will be on Friday, June 9 from 5-8 pm at Strong-Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:45 AM Saturday June 10, 2017 at Holy Rosary RC Church Greenwood Lake, NY.
