Obituary of Thomas A. Archer

Thomas A. Archer of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., a retired sanitation worker for the N.Y. City Sanitation Department and a longtime resident of the area, died on March 1, 2017 at his home. He was 60. The son of Alexander Archer and the late Joan Archer, he was born on April 2, 1956 in Astoria, N.Y. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an avid N.Y. Ranger Hockey fan and loved sports. Survivors include his father Alexander Archer of Greenwood Lake and his sister Peggy Vance and her husband Steven of Greenwood Lake and his niece Emily Vance and nephew Randy Vance. He is also survived by his cousins including Kathy Kopor and her husband Kenny. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday March 7, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday March 8, 2017 at 10 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Warwick Cemetery Warwick, N.Y.
