Obituary of Marian E Detro

Marian E. Detro of Greenwood Lake, a homemaker and lifelong resident of the area, died on February 16, 2017 at St. Anthony's Community Hospital in Warwick. She was 87. The daughter of the late Conrad and Emilie Schmick Ochs, she was born on January 27, 1930 in Warwick, N.Y. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Greenwood Lake. Survivors include her children Susan Galante and her husband Joseph of Conesus, N.Y. and Glenn Detro Jr. and his wife Virginia of Lafayette, Colorado. Her grandchildren Joseph; Andrew and Peter Galante and Tera Lewandowski; and Julie and Jill Detro. Her great-grandchildren Ellie; Ethan and Hazel. Her sisters Helen Ernhout of Warwick; Catherine Dains of Utah; Linda Pietrzak of Virginia and her brothers Roger Ochs of the State of Florida and Brian Ochs of Slate Hill, N.Y. Her sister-in-law Jean Detro of Greenwood Lake and her nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Friday February 24, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak Street Greenwood Lake, N.Y. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 25, 2017 at 10 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Warwick Cemetery Warwick, N.Y.
