William L. Retherford Sr., of Middletown, N.Y. a former Horse Groomer at Belmont Race Track in Elmont, N.Y., died on October 28, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 55. The son of the Wesley and Carrie Retherford, he was born on April 25, 1961 in Eureka, California. Survivors include his sons William L. Retherford Jr. of Middletown and Joseph Retherford and his wife Jennie of Middletown. His mother Carrie Stephens. His brothers Wes Retherford of Texas and James Power of Atlantic City, N.J. He is also survived by his former wife Esther Beaton of New Hampton and her children, as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday November 1, 2016 from 4-7 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 7 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, New York.
