Obituary of Sharon Gehler

Sharon Gehler of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., a driver for Greenwood Lake Taxi and a former waitress for Great Gorge Playboy Club in Vernon, N.J. and a longtime resident of the area, died on August 5, 2016 at her home. She was 69.
The daughter of the late William and Martha Aichlamayr Mock, she was born on December 16, 1946 in Corning, California.
She was a member and past exalted ruler of the Greenwood Lake Elks Lodge and served as Trustee chair. A Member and past-president of the Greenwood Lake Lions Club. She was a member of the Greenwood Lake American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was a youth recreation director for the Village and was involved in both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts as well as the Greenwood Lake Senior Center.
She was the widow of Michael Gehler.
Survivors include her children Joseph Gehler of Panama City, Florida; Judi Dahlgren of Mishawaka, Indiana and Christine Bullaro and her husband Gordon of the State of Florida. Her grandchildren Anthony Bullaro; Nicolas Bullaro; Abby Whaley; Austin Dahlgren and Selena Gehler. Her brothers Frank Mock and his wife Vivian of Alabama and Thomas Mock and his wife Sandy of MN. Her sister Pamela Cloninger and her parner Kim Turner of IL. Her brother-in-law John Gehler of Monroe, N.Y. and George Emig of Greenwood Lake. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her brother James Mock.
Visitation hours will be held on Monday August 15, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday August 16, 2016 at 10 A.M. at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenwood Lake Elk's Lodge.
