Obituary of Filippa Provenzano Alesci

Filippa Provenzano Alesci passed away Sunday July 31, 2016 at home. She was 93. The daughter of the late Giuseppe and Narda Altamore Provenzano she was born on October 22, 1922 in Giuliana, Sicily. She was a former Seamstress for Calvert Coat Co. She loved to have her family over for Sunday Dinners, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting blankets for her loved ones. She always like socializing and telling stories of her childhood. She was a loving and caring woman. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Middletown. Survivors include her husband: Antonio Alesci, her son: Giuliano Alesci and his wife Jeanette; her son-in-law: Mario Levato. Her grandchildren: Anthony and Vincent Alesci, Sal, Tony & Peter Levato . Her great-grandchildren: Mario, Franco, Joseph & Giuliana. Her brothers: Gasparo, Filippo & Antonio. She was predeceased by her daughter: Maria Levato. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday August 2, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, New York. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday August 3, 2016 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church 149 Cottage Street Middletown, N.Y. Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery Newburgh, New York.
