Benny was an excellent chef, mentor and boss to me when I arrived at Playboy in 1978. He was one of the most liked and appreciated chefs - no one could feed as many people as quickly as Benny. He was one of the most hard working chefs I ever worked with, but maintained a pleasant personality and showed respect to all who he worked with.
"Get 'em in, get 'em out" was his mantra and almost singlehandedly could feed a thousand people a day at the Playboy buffet. I will always hold fond memories and appreciation for what I learned from him. Very sorry for your loss.
