Obituary of Patricia A. Harrer

Patricia A. Harrer of Middletown, a former Police Dispatcher for the Town of Wallkill Police Department and a longtime resident of the area, died on May 30, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 79. The daughter of the late John X. and Sarah Newell Stewart, she was born on September 4, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York. Patricia was the Matriarch of the family. Survivors include her children Patricia Stewart of Saugerties, N.Y.; Sally Sabia and her husband Kenneth of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; Brian Harrer and his wife Amanda of Saugerties, N.Y.; Kevin Harrer of Middletown, N.Y. and her dear friend Davia Williams of Middletown. Her grandchildren David Stewart and his wife Cindy; Shannon Stewart; Timothy Amerman; Elizabeth Sabia; Jennifer Sabia and Kathleen Sabia. Her great-granddaughter Sarah Stewart as well as her brothers John and Vincent Stewart and several nieces and nephews and her many friends. She was predeceased by her son William Harrer III. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday June 2, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday June 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Church 149 Cottage St. Middletown, N.Y. Patricia will be laid to rest in the family plot at St. Joseph Cemetery Middletown, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project; St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or the SPCA.
