Obituary of Angel Ruiz Soto

Angel (“Papi”) Ruiz Soto, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, New York. He was 70. The son of the late Delfín Ruiz and America Soto de Ruiz, he was born on July 3, 1945 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. Angel worked at Clemson Brothers, Inc. and later Sienna Auto both in Middletown, until his retirement. He was an avid fan of the New York Mets and pro-wrestling - pastimes he shared with his children and grandson. Angel is survived by his companion, Elizabeth Concepcion of Middletown, NY; his ex-wife Alma Urban Soto of Middletown, NY; his children, Elizabeth Orengo and her husband Richard of Slate Hill, NY; Angel Soto, Jr., Norma Soto, Luis Soto and Michelle Storms all of Middletown, NY; his siblings: Fernando Ruiz of Liberty, NY; Carmen Rodriguez and husband Domingo of Middletown, NY; Tomas Ruiz of Orlando, FL, and Gilberto Ruiz, Jr. and wife Diana of Apopka, FL; his grandson, Chase Gonzalez and future granddaughter, Cheyenne Angel Gonzalez; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Angel was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carmen Lydia Barbosa and brothers, Santurino (William) Soto-Ruiz and Gilberto Ruiz, Sr. Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 5-8 p.m., at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc., 72 West Main St., Middletown, NY. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a graveside service at Wallkill Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NY. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Pets Alive, 363 Derby Road, Middletown, NY, 10940, to support his love of animals.
