Obituary of John Buchanan

John Buchanan of Bullville, former owner of Syndicate 1181 Taxi in Middletown and a longtime resident of the area, died on February 25, 2016 in Middletown. He was 71. The son of Carl and Dorothy May Buchanan, he was born on January 20, 1945 in Cocoa, Florida. He was the widower of Mary Buchanan. John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his children Brian Buchanan of Bullville, N.Y. and Cathy Esquillin of Middletown. His sisters Shirley Hess and Cindy Buchanan. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday March 29, 2016 at 2 P.M. at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery 111 Craigville Road Goshen, N.Y.
