Obituary of Roy W. Rhodes

Roy W. Rhodes of Montgomery, N.Y., retired employee of the N.Y. City Transit and a longtime resident of the area, died on Friday March 18, 2016 at his home. He was 84. He was born on September 12, 1931 in Winchester, Virginia. Survivors include his wife Carole Rhodes at home. His children Sherri Rhodes; Carita Hairston; Glenda Rhodes; LeCara Rhodes; Lisette Rhodes- Johnson and her husband Jerrell; Ramon Polenberg and Marc Polenberg. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson and a host of nieces and nephews and devoted friends including Jeff Lewars and Bob Ward. He was predeceased by his son Melvin Rhodes and his sister Helen Roberts. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday March 24, 2016 at 11 A.M. at the Goodwill Church 2135 Route 208 Montgomery, N.Y.
