I haven’t thought about Frank in many years, but now that I do a huge smile comes to my face. Frank gave me and all my closest friends some of the first paychecks we ever earned, he got us all started in the working world. He was a great boss, treated us all fair, paid us well and most importantly gave us an environment where we could work but also have a ton of fun doing it. Some of the best memories I have as a kid were the times I spent working at the Castle Tavern. Frank was a great member of the community, not just by providing jobs but bringing commerce to GWL, which helped everyone. I haven’t seen Frank in many years but he made a positive impact on me and some of my closest friends, he’ll always remain alive in all of our memories, may he rest in perpetual peace.

It's safe to say that after growing up with his children, working for him, and arguing with him (countless times) that this was as loyal and giving a man as I've ever met on my travels. I am saddened by his passing. My condolences to his family.

Growing up in Sterling Forest, our small little community would have never been the same without the Dieber Family and the Castle Tavern. Those were free spirited days and Frank was always good to all us kids. Deepest Condolences to his family.

When I first moved to northern New Jersey, I only knew the 2 friends that I moved in with. They both had just started working at the Castle Tavern. What an introduction to the Greenwood Lake community! We lived on the lake 1 mile from the Castle. Frank and everyone that we met through him (he was our age) made life an exciting adventure. My roots are here, in part, because of you Frank.

Frankie was one of those Lakers that was always there for my whole life. He had a heart of gold. I remember going to Castle Tavern after he resurrected it and brought it back to life, with my dad and sitting out on the patio having a meal. I will always remember the kindness he showed to my father always and espicially when my Dad got sick and passed. He checked up on me several times, showed me his log cabin he was building, talked of his family, my Dad, living at the Lake. He will always be remembered in my heart for his kind heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and kids, whom I never had the pleasure of meeting but heard about for always! I am sure that Frankie, Jeffrey and my Dad are catching up right now and looking down on us all, keeping us under their watchful eyes.

So many memories, I do not know where to begin. Frank was one of the first persons I met when I arrived in Greenwood Lake in 1979, of course then I met Bob and we intertwined our lives over the years at holidays, weddings, Lake George trips and many more moments that I will never forget. Frank became more than just a brother-in-law, he was my friend and I loved him for his unique character. May his memory be a source of blessing to everyone and as you go forward, keep in mind when you lose someone you love, you gain an angel you know.

I met Frank when I met my wife and moved hear 17 years ago. The Castle was still the Castle and we would hang out on the beach and he would pass food and drinks over the fence to us. He was always very friendly to my wife's family and he was a great friend to my brother-in-law Jeff Anderson, who passed away this year as well. He will be missed. Rest in peace Frank.

I am so saddened by this news. The years that I worked with Frank, Billy and Bonnie, were the most fun I ever had at a job. We sure had some great laughs and good memories of Frank and The Castle Tavern, that I will never forget.
