Richard H. Francis Jr. of Greenwood Lake, a Iron Worker with Local 46 and a lifelong resident of the area, died on October 31, 2013 in Middletown Park Manor. He was 50. The son of Richard H. Francis Sr. and the late Patricia Corrigan Francis, he was born on November 17, 1962 in New York City. Survivors include his son Robert A. Francis of Greenwood Lake. His father Richard H. Francis Sr. and his stepmother Mary Ellen McCarthy Francis of Greenwood Lake. His soulmate Josephine Jaycox; His brother Jeremiah Francis Sr. and his wife Mildred. Sisters-in-laws Michelle Francis and Diane Francis. Step-brothers Darren McCarthy; Duncan McCarthy and step-sisters Dawn Hirrel and Diane McCarthy as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Sunday November 3, 2013 from 2-6 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday November 4, 2013 at 10 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake. Burial will be in Warwick Cemetery Warwick, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greenwood Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corp or the American Cancer Society.
