I knew Sylvia from the early years of the Embroiderer's Guild of America. I remember a quilted vest that she wore at holidaytime. She was a lovely woman and I've thought of her fondly now and again. She reminded me of my Swedish mother.

Sylvia was a very dear friend to my Mother, Mabel Medalen, and always remembered me. There was only one Sylvia! She was a wonderful women and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
