Dear Papa , As we are having a winter storm here on Thanksgiving Eve in your beloved Middletown , Mom and I are thinking of you and missing you so very much. Our 2nd Thanksgiving without you. We never forget your wonderful sense of humor , your warm smile and your loving embrace . You are smiling down happily knowing that I work for Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney and he won reelection , I know how much you respected Sean and how much you wanted me to work for him. Dad, Thinking of you on this Veteran's Day. 70 years ago today as a young 21 year old you were heading across the Atlantic Ocean aboard the HMT Samaria on route to England. What was in store for you and your Division in the weeks and months to come, in particular (The Battle of The Bulge), was probably unimaginable to you at that time. Through your and your fellow soldiers' strength and bravery you defeated true evil and saved the free world as we know it today. There was a great man who was a gentlemen. A great man with knowledge he could answer any question. A great man with history that was filled with strength , success and bravery.
