William Howard Crooks of Middletown, a retired construction laborer with Local 17 and a lifelong resident of the area, died on May 17, 2012 in Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 72. The son of the late William Ohmer and Alta Budd Crooks, he was born on May 8, 1940 in Middletown. He was a member of Local 17 for over fifty years. Survivors include his wife Arlene Crooks at home. His children Chantel Crooks of Mt. Hope; Krista Findley and her husband Keith of Bloomingburg and Adam Crooks and his wife Jennifer of Middletown. His grandchildren Drayden and Wyatt. His sisters Geneva Baker and her husband Earl of Otisville and Janet Crooks of Middletown and nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Sunday May 20, 2012 from 7-9 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. Funeral services will be held on Monday May 21, 2012 at 2 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bloomingburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
