Obituary of Shirley Cross Hujus

Shirley Cross Hujus of Otisville, a retired aide at the Orange County Infirmary in Goshen and a lifelong resident of the area, died on January 12, 2016 at her home. She was 84. The daughter of the late Clarence and Edna Schneider Cross, she was born on October 18, 1931 in Otisville. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid hunter and loved fishing. She issued fire permits for the State of New York. Survivors include her children James Hujus and his wife Carol; John Hujus and his wife Barbara; Shirleen Farmen; Lorraine Ray and her husband Matt; Thelma Hujus; Ruthetta Consiglio and her husband Joseph; Richard Hujus Jr. and his wife Colleen and her grandson Ronald Hujus and his companion Jennifer. Her sisters Lorraine Cross Conklin and Patricia Lord. She is also survived by her grandchildren; great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her children Mildred Georgiana Hujus and Lester Hujus and her sisters Delores Flynt and Louise Martiniano and her former husband Richard Hujus. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday January 16, 2016 from 11- 1P.M. and Funeral Services at 1 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
