Obituary of Joan Marie Smith

Joan Marie Smith Middletown, New York Joan Marie Smith, a retired Assistant Teacher at Otisville Presbyterian Nursery School, and lifelong resident of the area passed away peacefully at home Wednesday October 7, 2015. She was 74. The daughter of the late Theodore Douglas Brown and Verna Smith, she was born January 31, 1941 in Middletown, New York. Joan was a member of the Otisville Presbyterian Church and she was the widow of Charles E. Smith. Survivors include her two sons: Brett Smith and his wife Deborah of Montgomery, NY; Joseph Smith and his Rhonda of Middletown, NY; her four grandchildren: Daron Smith; Matthew Grammas; Nicolas Smith; Justin Smith; her brother: Harry "Eddie" Brown and his wife Ceal of York, PA, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother: Theodore "Sonny" Brown and his wife Dorothy Brown. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Sunday October 11, 2015 and from 10-11 AM on Monday October 12, 2015 at Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday October 12, 2015 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Middletown, NY.
