Obituary of Jose F. Costa

Jose F. "Ze-Grand" Costa of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., died on June 27, 2015 at his home. He was 72. The son of the late Simeao and Maria Neves Costa, he was born on October 9, 1942 in Portugal. He was a proud member of the Portuguese American Community Center in Yonkers and Local 60 in Hawthorne. Survivors include his wife Frances at home; his mother Maria of Hastings on Hudson, N.Y. His children Joseph S. Costa and Filipe J. Costa . His daughter-in-law Erin McAteer Costa and his grandchildren Aiden and Brody all of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. His sister Isabel and her husband Santos of New Windsor, N.Y. His brothers Victor and his wife Janet of Manahawkin, N.J.; Tony Costa and his wife Julieta of Palm Coast, Fl.; and Manuel DaCosta and his wife Christine of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Saturday July 11, 2015 at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church 355 South Broadway Yonkers, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
