Obituary of Helen T. Carney

Helen T. Carney of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., retired manager of the West Shore Motel in Greenwood Lake and a longtime resident of the area, died on June 12, 2015 in Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y. She was 93. The daughter of the late Edward and Mae Newby Maloney, she was born on March 10, 1922 in Jersey City, N.J. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake and taught CCD at Holy Rosary for over 50 years. She was a Charter Member of the Greenwood Lake Gaelic Society. She was the widow of George Carney. Survivors include her children George Carney and his wife Dorothy of Monroe, N.Y. Kevin Carney and his wife Debra of Virginia and Patricia Carney of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. She is also survived by her grandchildren George; Julian; Kristine and her husband Andrew and Kyle. There will be no visitation . A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday June 17, 2015 at 10 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, N.Y. Burial will be in Warwick Cemetery Warwick, N.Y.
