Obituary of Doris L. Brannan

Doris L. "Dori" Brannan of Slate Hill, a homemaker and lifelong resident of the area, died on May 24, 2015 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 86. The daughter of the late Roy E. and Minnie Van Ness Leemon, she was born on December 4, 1928 in Middletown, N.Y. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Middletown and was a Life Member of Girl Scouts USA. She was the widow of Richard C. Brannan who preceded her in death on February 19, 2002. Survivors include her children John R. Brannan and his wife Marion (Sissy) of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; James (Jim) Brannan and his wife Lauren of New Braunfels, Texas and Elizabeth (Betsy) Gray and her husband Claude of Slate Hill, N.Y. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Her cousin Albert Maggiore of Saugerties and her brother-in-law Thomas F. Brannan and his wife Marilyn of Middletown and several other cousins and nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday May 27, 2015 from 11A.M.-1P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, New York. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Assn. or "pay it forward, do a good deed for someone and always find something to smile or laugh about."
