Edith Breitfeld Slate Hill, New York Edith Breitfeld of Slate Hill, a retired production line worker at Avon Products in Suffern, N.Y. and a longtime resident of the area, died on April 8, 2015 in Middletown Park Manor. She was 84. The daughter of the late Alfred and Alma Schroeder Mench, she was born on May 21, 1930 in Hamburg, Germany. She was the widow of Reinhold Breitfeld. Survivors include her daughter Margot Capobianco and her grandsons James and Tony Capobianco. Her sister Margot Linicke of Germany. She is also survived by her two great-grandchildren Griffin and Isabelle and her nieces Christl and Dagmar and several great nieces. She was predeceased by her son Joachim. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday April 16, 2015 from 10-11 A.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services will follow at 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Wallkill Cemetery Phillipsburg, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mental Health Assn. of Orange County.
