It was my pleasure to work with Cliff in elections research at both VNS and AP. We had many spirited discussions, many of them while sneaking a smoke break in the stairway at the World Trade Center. I was always astounded as his ability to crunch and interpret data. He gave me many lessons using Excel. He is and will be terribly missed.

Cliff, although I haven't seen you in some time, I've always considered you to be a close friend. We've shared so many great memories together and I'll never forget your unique perspective on life and witty sense of humor. I only wish that I could have hung out with you recently, to chat about those good ol times while listing to some Rolling Stones. I wish I could have been there to help you during your greatest time of need. I'm sorry to see you go so soon, long before your time - at only 39 years old you had so much more life ahead of you. You had so much more to offer to the world and I still can't believe that you're not here anymore. I miss you buddy, and will never forgot you. Until we meet again my friend. "McAteer"

Cliff and I dated for several years. Our relationship was rocky but he was an incredibly brilliant person, who despite his personal challenges tried very hard to be a good man. I was so surprised to hear that he had kept the cats we adopted together, Bitey and Squeaky, all this time. The world has lost a brilliant, good hearted person. My deepest and most sincerest sympathies are with his family. I pray that Cluff is at peace.
