Obituary of Albert Melendez Jr.

Albert W. Melendez, Jr. affectionately known as Albie, passed away on July 16, 2024 in Middletown, N.Y. He was born on December 10, 1991, in Goshen, N.Y. Albie grew into a man known for his shy yet humorous and caring personality. Albie attended Maple Hill Elementary and later graduated from Middletown High School. He cherished his moments on the basketball court and found great joy in reading. His most treasured times, however, were spent with his beloved daughter, Autumn Olivia, who was the light of his life. Albie leaves behind his loving family: his mother Lourdes, father Albert Sr., sisters Gina and Bianca, and brother Michael. He also leaves his aunts Elsa, Marilyn and Lisa and his uncles Johnnie, Esteban, William, Jose, Miquel, and Donald; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Augustine, Miquel and his uncles Gus and Felix. His grandmother Lydia and his cousin Lydia. Albie’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him, as his kind spirit and gentle laughter brought light to every room. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
