Obituary of Rosemary Townsend

Rosemary Townsend of Middletown, N.Y. passed away on February 21, 2024 from dementia. She was 86. The daughter of the late Bert and Stella Wood, Rosemary was born on August 18, 1937. Rosemary spent her early years babysitting and then went on to be a Foster Grandparent at RECAP Head Start. She enjoyed listening to Classic Country music and doing Word Search books. Rosemary was predeceased by her children Robert (George) Wood, Betti-Jo Townsend, Tammy (Townsend) Brockett, Sherry Wood and Jeff Wood. She is survived by her brothers Michael Wood and Robert Wood. Her son Robert Townsend and Ruth Hake of Wurtsboro, N.Y., her daughter Bobbi-Jo Townsend of Youngsville and granddaughter (Daughter) Jessica Wood of Middletown, N.Y. Son-in-law Brian Brockett of Otisville, N.Y. Grandchildren William Brockett of Otisville, N.Y. and Kasey Brockett of Otisville, N.Y. Samantha Chambers, Taylor Chambers and Ryan Chambers. Rosemary is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Rosemary will be loved and missed by all her loved ones. Visitation hours and Services will be held on Wednesday February 28, 2024 from 3-6 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y.
