Byron Combest of Middletown, N.Y., a retired employee of St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital Engineering department, passed away on January 29, 2024 in Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown. He was 71. The son of the late Jerry and Laura Combest, he was born on July 3, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a member of St. John's AME Zion Church in Middletown, N.Y. Survivors include his wife Caroline Hasbrouck Combest. His children Taura Williams, Kayla Combest, Keisha Hall, Ashley Hall, Tyzier Lewis and Tyleahia Combest. His sister Jennifer Combest and his brother Juan Combest. His grandchildren Alaura Williams, Sean Williams, Marcus Woody, Zoila Combest and Zyaire Lewis. His godchildren Brionna Hasbrouck and Erica Gilchrest. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Antoinette Combest and his brother Carlos Combest. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday February 3, 2024 from 10-11 A.M. with a Funeral Service at 11 A.M. at the St. John's AME Zion Church 103 East Ave. Middletown, N.Y. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery Middletown, N.Y.
