Obituary of John A. Cote

John A. Cote of Otisville, a retired laborer with Local 17 and a longtime resident of the area, passed away on November 21, 2023. He was 83. The son of the late John B. and Marguerite Bushey Cote, he was born on April 6, 1940 in St. Albans, Vermont. John was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of the Marine Corp League and the American Legion. He was very active in Toys for Tots. He was a member and former usher at St. Joseph Church in Middletown, N.Y. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Dorothy Cote. His children Gina Mielke and her husband Gerald of Otisville, N.Y. Cheri Rembe and her husband Joseph of Phillipsport, N.Y. and John Cote Jr. and his wife Christina of Otisville, N.Y. His sisters Jacqueline Amodeo and her husband Peter of Medford Lakes, N.J. and Kathleen Sheehy and her husband William of Setauket, N.Y. His grandchildren Robert Radivoy, Thomas Radivoy, Danielle Radivoy, Michael Mielke, Brandon Rembe, James Rembe, Jaelynn Cote, Jaxon Cote, Caleb Cote and Charlie Cote. His great-granddaughter Mackenzie Radivoy and several nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday November 28, 2023 from 3-6 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday November 29, 2023 at 11:30 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery Goshen, N.Y.
