Steve was one of a kind and always had "kind" words for every one. So many good times and funny stories after tennis to numerous to count. He will forever be the best 3.0 tennis player in America! I will truly miss him. Love you, Steve.

Some of my happiest memories from my childhood were playing tennis with uncle Steve and my Dad. His love of life, positive attitude, great sense of humor and incredible energy were amazing. Uncle Steve had a heart of gold and I’m so grateful to have had him as an uncle. Sending you lots of love uncle Steve, and look forward to playing tennis with you and Dad when I see you next time. Love, Rich jr.

Growing up, Steve was the most amazing "uncle." He always had a smile on his face and brought so much joy to our household. And he was always so generous: with everything from his words of encouragement, to playing tennis with us even though we were not very good players, to getting us the most amazing gifts on the holidays. When I think of Steve, my heart always fills with joy. He made our childhoods sparkle. And the world was always a brighter and better place because he was in it! Steve will always be someone that I will hold in my heart. And though I have not seen him for many years, his light still shines so bright when I think back on my fondest childhood memories. Steve, sending you so much love. And hope you are playing tennis with our Dad now!

Steve was and always will be my brother and best friend. My children considered him their uncle and Steve was Justin's God-Father. We spent the last 50 years skiing, playing Tennis, Basketball, movies, dinners, visiting each other when sick, vacations, our friendship was endless..in all that time we never had an argument or disagreement. I attribute all this to my best friend who had a heart of gold and personality to match..I will miss my brother and keep him in my thoughts..I know God will take care of him.

Steve was my pal. We played tennis and argued with equal vigor. As much as he could make me crazy, he would astonish me with his kindness. His presence will be missed by many.

Stephen was an incredible person. He was always very welcoming. I used to bring my mother to the club where we played. She had dementia but loved to be with me and Stephen would always go out of his way to talk with her. He was a super human being.

I will remember Steve for his sharp sense of humor and the all round great guy he was. He was a fierce competitor on the tennis court with a natural volley that seemed effortless to him. His serve needed a little work, but that is probably true for all us tennis players. We have lost a great friend who will be missed dearly.
