Obituary of Ruth Brinckerhoff

Ruth Resnikoff Mitchell Brinckerhoff, 74, passed peacefully at Garnet Health Medical Center on November 3, 2023, with her loving family and friends by her side. Ruth was born in St, Louis, MO on August 17, 1949. She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Lewis and Esther Resnikoff and her brother, David. Ruth graduated from Pine Bush HS in 1967 and from OCCC in 1997. Ruth retired from the TH-Record after 30 years. She was a Past President of Middletown Rotary Club as well as a Paul Harris Fellow. She was also a past Board Member of the YMCA, People for People Fund, and the United Way of Orange County. Ruth was a member of Family Church in Fair Oaks and enjoyed being an usher for many years. After retirement, Ruth enjoyed traveling in their RV with Carl and their cat. She loved sightseeing in each city and town. Her favorite city was Kerrville, Texas. They made many lifelong friends with the snowbird lifestyle. Ruth is survived by her beloved husband, Carl R. Brinckerhoff. She is also survived by her loving son, Samuel E Mitchell, III (Michelle) of Lexington, KY. and stepson Robert C. Brinckerhoff (Deedra) of Bloomingburg, N.Y. Ruth is also survived by Her Adored Granddaughter, Victoria Grace Mitchell and 3 Bonus Grandchildren: Katie, Ben and Sarah and 2 Bonus Great Grandchildren: Olivia and Isabella all of Lexington, KY. Ruth is also survived by her Adored Grandson, Easton Lee Brinckerhoff and 4 Bonus Grandchildren: Carly, Toni, Frank, and Joe all of Bloomingburg, NY And lastly, Ruth leaves behind her loyal cat, Sadie. Ruth and her family wish to thank Dr. John Ferguson and Hospice for their care. They also thank Teresa, Laurie, Tammy, and Sheila for their continuous love and support. Visitation will be held on Thursday November 9, 2023 from 4-7pm at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. With Funeral Services at 6:30pm.
