Q: How did you meet Allan?
A: When I first met Allan, we met in an unusual way. I was not sure if we would become friends - but the more I got to know him, we became fast friends. He always treated me with respect as did I with him. He was a jokester, he always made me laugh. We talked for hours. I remember how much he loved his dog Penny, she would walk right beside him. Then he needed to find a temporary home for her while he was moving. When he went to go and get her - he saw how much the kids that had her, really loved Penny and he didn't want to take that joy away from the kids or Penny,
so he let Penny stay with the family.
We really had some good laughs. Then there came a time where I needed rides back and forth to the Dr's, or he would meet me there to help me. He always knew when I needed help, he could hear it in my voice and just like that he would show up. He truly was just an all around great guy! I never would have imagined him to not answering my phone calls anymore or giving me a ride from Middletown back to New Windsor.
His big thing was going to the races every weekend at the speedway. He loved to talk about it.
I remember he called me one time because he was taking his mom to Seaside Heights. He called me from Tom's river and I was actually able to guide him right to the beach.
Saturday is going to be a tough day for all those who knew him, but I am sure it will be roughest on his mom and brothers!!! I know that there are no words to say to make it any easier. But just letting them know how much Allan meant to each and every person that he knew - hopefully, it will fill their hearts with a little bit of peace. I do know how much he cared about people, especially his mom and his brothers. He talked about them a lot.
I remember how excited he was to get his motorcycle! He loved it so much!
I just know, I am going to really miss him! I will never be able to say goodbye to Allan, I will just say I will see you when I see you. And when I do see you again some day, I am going to hug you and then hit you upside your head! I really and truly prayed for a miracle! But I guess God needed you more... So Rest In Peace my friend! I will love you forever and always!!! Kay
