Doug and I both started working at IBM in the summer of 1981. Doug and I worked on my first patent submission at IBM. It did not make it to the patent office but did get published in the IBM Technical Disclosure Bulletin publication. Doug and I were both taking graduate courses at FAU and we both sat for the GRE. The last project I worked with Doug on was called MAT. It used ECL memory logic chips to save memory accesses captured from a unit under test. I dressed up as the Easter Bunny one year and dropped off Easter baskets at his apartment. My wife and I attended Doug's wedding reception at his dad's house on the intercoastal in Ft. Lauderdale. We will miss Doug and his many stories from his job adventures.
