Shirley Murray of Middletown, N.Y., a retired electron microscopy technician at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. and a lifelong resident of the area, passed away on Thursday February 24, 2022 in Garnet Health Medical Center. She was 75.
The daughter of the late Robert and Shirley Leidy Murray, she was born on December 24, 1946 in Middletown, N.Y.
She was a devoted member of the Jehovah Witnesses. She enjoyed traveling, working with the animals at Pets Alive and time spent with her devoted family.
She is predeceased by her sister Sandra Singer-Murray, and survived by brother in law David Singer, and her brothers Robert Murray and Stephen Harkinish-Murray and his wife Debbie . Her beloved daughters Tracey Gilbert , Jennifer Ellender, her husband John, her grandchildren Laura Smith and her husband Scott, Fallyn Gilbert ,Brittany Gilbert her great grandaughter Lyndsey Loudermilk, her niece Kristen Murray, and her nephews Rob Murray and Zachary Harkinish-Murray.
And her cats Vinny and Josephine.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
