Obituary of Chi Lung Lee

Chi Lung Lee passed at the age of 84 on January 28, 2022 at home in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. First son of the late Pang Chow Lee and Ngai Ching Cheung, and the third of eight siblings, he was born on Jan 18, 1938 in Yunnan Province, China. Excelling in school, he attended the prestigious Guangdong Guangya High School, in his hometown of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. He went on to earn his Mechanical Engineering degree in Hubei University of Technology of Wuhan City, Hubei Province, one of the best universities in China. He served as a Materials Engineer in China until he moved to the United States with his wife and daughters at age 47. In the States, he worked in various jobs utilizing his engineering skills and eventually settled down as the owner and mechanic of an auto repair shop in New York City. He was a creator, an entrepreneur, a discoverer, a builder, a welder, a business owner, and a lover of life. Chi Lung retired at 74 after over 50 years of working life. Above all, Chi Lung was a family man. He was always there for us. He leaves behind his wife, Mei Ling Lee and daughters Sue Yin Li (Cheng Ke), Louisa Lee (James Chui), and Mong-Wai Lee (Andrew Malanga). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Raymond Lee Chen, Darren Lee Chui, Janie Michelle Chui, and Thomas Lee Malanga. The wake was held in California on Friday February 4, 2022 from 10 am - noon at Synder's Care Center at 9320 Santa Anita Ave #107, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday February 17, 2022 at 11:45 A.M. at the Wallkill Cemetery 160 Midway Road Middletown, N.Y.
