Obituary of Angela Marie Ritter

Angela Marie (Quaranta) Ritter, 81, was a 45 year resident of Greenwood Lake, NY, who died December 20, 2021 after a determined battle with both pancreatic and liver cancer. Born on April 10, 1940, in the Bronx, to the late Edward and Rose (Piazza) Quaranta, she is survived by her husband, Robert 'Tex' Ritter, of whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Angela was a girl scout leader, Elkett at Lodge 2067, where she often helped fill in for Mrs. Claus when she was unable, enjoyed traveling with her husband, and wintering in Florida. She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be sorely missed. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three daughters: Rosanne and her husband Edward Dalton, Marie and her husband Matthew Veth, Terry and her husband Robert Lonigro. 8 Grandchildren: Michael (Kyle), Tiffany (Ty) Joseph (Pralie), Jamie, Anthony (Ashley), Mackenzie, Emilia and Evan, 3 step grandchildren: Casey Robert and Bryan and 3 great grandchildren: Jaylen, Izada and Lena. Sister Concetta Gerrish (partner William Margillo), brothers in law and sisters in law and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Robert Jr and her brother Patrick Quaranta. As you prepare to attend services, please be aware that NYSDOH rules of Facial Coverings in the Funeral Home and Church will be required. Thank you for your understanding. Visitation will be held at Strong-Basile Funeral Home, 4 Oak St, Greenwood Lake, NY, on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 4pm-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12pm on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Holy Rosary Church, 41 Windermere Ave, Greenwood Lake. Cremation to follow.
