Elaine "Honey" L. Stumpp
Middletown, N.Y.
Elaine (Honey) L Stumpp died peacefully June 9th at home in Scotchtown New York. She was born in Brooklyn New York on October 6, 1938 and was the daughter of John H and Anna S Stannick. Elaine attended New Utretch High School, was employed as secretary to the Vice President of Otis Elevator Corp, and later on an office manager at Dr. Raymond Hui's office for 23 years.
Elaine was the recipient of the mother of the year award at the Middletown Elks club in 1996, and it's no secret that it was well deserved as she treated everyone like they were her child. She was also a memorable class mother in Our Lady of Mount Carmel school. Elaine was a 4H leader in sewing, and loved to knit and crochet. She had quite the green thumb as well, and everyone always stopped by her house to tell her how beautiful her flowers looked. She excelled in arts and crafts and tended to the small wildlife living in/around her garden by painting bird houses and such. There was never a time that Elaine wasn't caring for someone. Even when she was sick, she remained everyone's rock. "She gave me a bracelet that said how much she loved me, and I knew she was preparing for the end of her journey; but she kept telling me everything was fine and that we would celebrate in the summer. She will always be remembered for her big heart and golden soul." – Allyson Sienkiewicz
Survivors include her husband Ronald T Stumpp, son Duanne and wife Lauren Stumpp of St. Peter's Missouri, daughter JoAnn M Sienkiewicz of Middletown New York, grandchildren J.R. Stumpp and Allyson E Sienkiewicz, Sister Dian R Malm of Forest Hills New York, many nieces and nephews, And of course her 2 furry children; Siamese cats Skippyjon and Jujubee.
