Michael L. Winship
AKA "Mad Dog"
May 9, 1964-January 22, 2021
Michael L. Winship a lifelong resident of Middletown, died on Friday night January 22, 2021 due to liver failure.
He was a 1982 graduate of Minisink Valley. He was a jack of all trades but mastered his plumbing talents with a cousin's family business.
He was born on May 9, 1964 to Larry and Pat Winship, who have predeceased him. His older sister Lori also predeceased him and grandparents on both sides as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins all welcomed him home. He does leave behind his younger sister Amy, who's bouquet he's holding in the picture and a newly found older sister, Shelly, living out west, given to a wonderful couple in the 50's.
He also leaves behind his closest friends, Tammy Lester, who loved Michael like a brother and he loved her, her husband Tom, his drinking buddy Ray Jacobson and his favorite ride share Darlene Rosa. Plus a few relatives he called friends.
Even though he fought with his own demons most of his life, he would still give you the shirt off his back if you needed it! Michael was even an Organ and Tissue Donor!
He was always hardest on himself but loved to brag about the accomplishments of his family and friends. He was a great storyteller with a contagious laugh! Mike you will be missed!
